Havasupai

Just last weekend I went to Havasupai (Havasu, AZ). It's a beautiful oasis in the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. The hike in took only about 3.5 hours. It was interesting to see how the flood last year carved so much new terrain. There were two new falls (that we knew of), but we weren't able to get to them. The tribe was working on new trails going down, but they were blocked with signs saying "unstable ground". Sadly, Navajo Falls was wiped out, which was my favorite place. The pools at Havasu and Moony Falls were much smaller as well, but still spectacular. I also wimped out and took the helicopter back ($85), but I think it was worth it. The ride was literally 4 minutes and pretty dang cool.

Just outside Moony Falls (the longest waterfall)

On our way down to Beaver Falls
